React + Vite app for drawing simple UV-space shapes, mapping them onto a sphere, and exporting the projected view as a clean SVG suitable for design tools.

I had a visualisation project at the Future Cities Laboratory that required conceptual drawings of lines across a sphere. I wanted these drawings to be mathematically accurate, so I did not want to 'eyeball' these drawings purely with Illustrator. But with the time constraint I had of one week, I did not want to spend too much time creating perfect matplotlib scripts.

Because of the target being a publication that was going to be reproduced at different sizes, I also wanted the output to be an SVG file.

I sketched the user interface and wrote the specification, inspired by UV editors in 3D modelling software, hoping to create a kind of hand-eye interactive way to draw lines on a sphere. Over the span of five days I rapidly prototyped the tool with AI coding agents.
